Hello,
after the conference, we have received travel refund requests via registered mail again.
With the TDF setup, this imposes quite some additional work. Every so often, someone needs to go to the post office during its business hours and grab that letter.
However, as you may know, we don’t have employees actually in Berlin who could do this job.
Therefore:
PLEASE DO NOT SEND TRAVEL REFUNDS VIA REGISTERED MAIL!
The alternative is to hire a person to do this job in Berlin. This costs us several thousand Euro per year (salary, social security, side costs etc.).
The other alternative is to not pay any travel refunds to anyone who sends their documents via registered mail, so eventually people understand the problem.
Please help us to keep things lean and effective. DO NOT SEND REGISTERED MAIL.
Send us a digital copy before, and then via regular mail.
Please also inform your local communities about this as well.
Thanks
Florian
