Townhall meetings on MC elections result

Dear community,

on behalf of the board, I’d like to inform you about the following:

Board members are available during next week’s LibreOffice Conference to answer your questions.

Additionally, the board will offer a virtual townhall session via Jitsi to answer questions from the members. Given the conference takes place next week, the goal is to schedule this meeting the week after the conference. The board tried to schedule something earlier, but due to the conference proceedings, organizing something before LibOCon is nearly impossible.

I will soon reach out with some proposals for the townhall time slot.

Florian

It’s much less possible when the BoD wants to evade criticism and try legitimizing its invalid decision due to the passage of time.

Anyway, that whole exercise is nearly useless, since the BoD seems intent on either not replying, evading, or falling back on secret documents, which - in breach of our statutes - it is hiding from us.

I believe it’s much more effective to ask & answer questions in person, and in a meeting room with everyone present - rather than going for the combinatorial explosion of each TDF trustee asking each director present individually.

At least if the offer to listen to feedback was an honest one.

If making space within the busy schedule of LibOCon proves to be impossible, I’d be willing to donate allotropia’s keynote slot on Thursday morning, for at least an initial round of Q&A. Or perhaps an extra evening slot (past the current 18:00 end-of-talks) is also doable?
