New Publication workflow

Hello to all extensions maintainers,

First of all, I salute you and express my gratitude for all your efforts on publishing extensions to LibreOffice.

Recently I have published a change in the publication workflow that will require you to click an extra button, I hope with some benefits attached.

In the admin section where you are editing your extension new or existing, You will see two buttons at the bottom of the page [Save] and [Request publication].

You can use [Save] to save the extension only for you, as work in progress. This was requested in our redmine.

And when your extension is ready for review and publication, you can click [Request publication] where is going to be sent to review.

Thank you, and comments are welcome

Hello, @juanjosegzl

Thank you for your work to make publishing extensions more attractive for creators.

In the past, I’ve actually gotten along well with the existing system, since I only publish my extensions after I’ve finished and thoroughly tested them myself. But an additional button is okay if it actually triggers the publishing process.

However, after filling out the form, uploading my latest extension, and clicking the “Request publication” button today, something seems to have gone wrong with my login. See:

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers,
Peter

Never seen this CMS password message. @juanjosegzl might know what this causes.

Yesterday I uploaded my extension, today it’s published. That was really quick. However, the page with the description isn’t rendering properly, and all my extensions are totally inaccessible for management.

Something seems to be broken in the system.

I can investigate this issue and let you know what I find

hi @Peter_T

I has been able to reproduce this, have you seen it multiple times? do you remember when it happened?

Since I reported it, I’ve had no access to manage my extensions. Not even now. Nothing has changed in the appearance of the extension page either.
