New member introduction - Catriona

Hello,

My name is Catriona and I’ve just joined this forum. I’ve worked in IT for over 30 years - but always on the infrastructure side. I’ve been a network engineer for the last 20 years. I’m also a trained copy-editor/proofreader and I’d like to contribute to LO in this capacity. I am hoping to retire from IT next year and make my freelance editing a full time business.

I’m going to sit here quietly for a couple of months and absorb the ethos. When I’m ready to review/edit.proofread, I think I need to ask for an SSO account (or at least privileges) to access draft documentation.

Kind Regards

Catriona

Hello @Catriona67710

Welcome to the team. Nice skills you have for our community and plenty of things we have for you.

Please take your time to lurk our forum.

Actually you may have already an SSO if you logged in this forum. Please confirm if it is “Catriona67710”. If not, you can follow instructions on this video:

and mail me your username (not the e-mail) to documentation at libreoffice dot org.

Cheers
Olivier

Hi Olivier,

I can confirm that my username is Catriona67710. I inferred from the instructions that update access was a two-step process. If I have any problems, I’ll be sure to let you know. I’m looking forward to being able to contribute to the project.

I’m based in the UK, but used to reading documentation in US English. I’m awaiting a copy of the Merriam-Webster Collegiate landing on my doorstep.

Kind Regards

Catriona
