HI All

The Quality Control team has released the next LibreOffice 7.5 - Alpha for testing, bug-chasing and review.

The new features are available in the release notes (under construction)

Happy review!

First thing I noticed, it’s dark. Second thing I noticed, the UI team doesn’t understand WCGA, I can’t read the text:

Beta1 is now available.

I have downloaded LO 7-5, but have one thing I must comment on.

LO 7-5 does work on older operating systems. Was this restriction done deliberately?

I have a 10-year-old MacBook Pro that runs macOS 10.13.4 High Sierra.

LO 7-5 will not open on my MacBook Pro and it was used to create previous versions of the LO Impress and Draw user guides.

This non-compatibility issue now restricts my working method when wrtiting.

Does anybody have thoughts on this issue?

Regards
PeeWee

It should read:-

@PeeWee Peter, it is due to Apple’s policy regarding C++ standard library features. See, for example, the 7.4 release notes. LibreOffice 7.4 Community: Release Notes - The Document Foundation Wiki
