Missing commits back from Online project to LibreOffice Project and Community?

Hi all,

I did some research on an Online version based on the LibreOffice technology. I build an own version of Online with available patches and some additions. I build it using the latest version of the LibreOffice core master. I found out that I could display an example draw document (odg), but I couldn’t edit text in the text boxes in that document. If I build my Online version using the fork / branch Co-25.04 of the core repository, the edit mode works too. You can read my research on my blog (including screenshots):
https://amantke.de/2025/08/21/research-on-issues-with-online-module-draw/

I guess that not all source code changes from this fork / branch made it to the LibreOffice project repository and the community, although the LibreOffice project and its community created e.g. the many localizations also for the fork / branch.

Regards,
Andreas

A more plausible explanation is that someone broke something in master branch of LibreOffice. Of course you can think what you want. You can even find the missing commits, if you want, and prove your point. Collabora is working continuously on forward porting patches from distro/collabora/co-25.04 branch to master branch.

Hi Andras,

thanks that you confirm that the ecosystem companies didn’t care about the LibreOffice core master, the community and upstream project.

It matches with the findings of my research on this topic: https://amantke.de/2025/08/21/research-on-issues-with-online-module-draw/

The issue with Online and the Draw (and Impress) module exists already since months.

Andreas
