Apparent discrepancy in Getting Started Guide - Getting Started with Impress

Upon translation and revision of the Getting Started Guide - Chapter 6, Getting Started with Impress, I see that the following text does not coincide with the software:

Vertical text is available only when Asian languages are selected in Tools > Options > Language Settings > Languages (macOS LibreOffice > Preferences > Language Settings > Languages).
I have highlighted the part that is not the same.
What I find (in English) is Tools > Options > Languages and Locales > ???
I inserted the question marks, for, I cannot follow the instructions in the guide to get the vertical text result. The Tools > Options menu has to possible items to choose from, Asian Layout or Complex Text Layout.
I may be wrong here, so, could anyone help me out with this, please?
Thanks in advance.

In the update process of LibreOffice, its interface has had several changes since the new version nomenclature (24x and 25x)

Some changes by change of name in the elements of the interface and others for new functions and in some cases are due to differences with operating systems.
I think it would be convenient to indicate the Getting Started Guide version as well as your version of LibreOffice and operating system,

This is in my LO versión (25.2) in WIndows.

  • You must mark the check box Asian to enable the Vertical Textbox.

The tool may not be visible on the toolbar.

  • Rright click on the toolbar and select Visible buttons

Hello Timothy

Vertical Text (as a tool on a toolbar) only becomes available when Asian and Complex Text Layout are selected in Languages & Locales in Options (macOS Preferences). All other text formatting tools and options can then be used on vertical text. Screenshot attached of a vertical text box on a slide.
