UML

Hi

Is it possible to make UML diagrams in libreoffice and how to do this?

You can draw them by hand in Draw, but there is also this cool extension that allows you to do it declaratively with PlantUML: https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en/extensions/show/libo_plantuml

For drawing manually, see
https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/simpress/02/10100000.html
https://books.libreoffice.org/en/DG72/DG7208-ConnectionsFlowchartsOrganisationCharts.html

In the future, you can ask such questions in https://ask.libreoffice.org/ as this list is for working on the documentation.

Hi Jessica,

Hi

Mark Lautman has created a nice set of UML drawings, available here:

I wish he creates an extension to install these a new Gallery...

HTH,

You can use the UML Elements extension (https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en/extensions/show/21647). It provides several galleries with shapes for different types of UML diagrams. You can install it directly from the LibreOffice Extensions website or from the built-in Extension Manager (the plus button at the bottom of the gallery panel).

Once installed, you’ll find the UML shapes in the gallery, and you can drag and drop them into your document to build your diagrams.
