Reminder: Meeting for members regarding current situation

Hello,

I offer a call for TDF members regarding the current situation, as written before.

On the internal members discussion list, I’ve shared the link to the poll some days ago.

In case you haven’t added your availability yet, please do so, if you are interested to join.

There is currently no date where everyone is available, but I am happy to offer two or three meeting slots, to cover several time zones.

I would like to announce the first meeting soon, so if you haven’t added your availability yet, if you do so, I can factor it in.

Feel free to share this message translated with your local communities.

Thanks
Florian

Hi Florian,
I’m curious why this is done on a public list - when you have a members E-mail list you can use to privately mail the trustees.
Then again - currently many Collabora staff members (to me convincingly) assert that by right they are still members/trustees - although they have been excluded from the relevant lists. Is this mail a way of giving them notice that they too can attend to get some answers about the situation in dispute ? if so - where and when ?
Thanks,
Michael.

Hi Michael,

as from the linked post: " to reach out to members not subscribed to the internal list" so the meeting is indeed reserved to current members of the board of trustees.

The status of the membership to the board of trustees is decided by the Membership Committee, their decision may or may not coincide with what is being asserted (convincingly or not) by your employees and/or contractors.

Ciao

Paolo

I am a member not subscribed to the internal list and am interested in joining the call.

Your statement is false. You are not listed as a member on:

Well, I’m really curious what the topic of this meeting is going to be in that case.

Either way, I’m glad to see a member of the Membership Committee interacting on this discussion board. Would it be possible for the committee to interact and reply to comments in its dedicated discussion category as well? (Membership Committee Discuss) Thanks!

Well… I’m really curious to know if posting false and/or misleading comments in this forum is a company policy approved by the managing director contracting you or if it’s simply you and a few of your current/former colleagues, following the same patterns consistently shown by the managing director of the company you work for, thinking it’s a good and ethical thing to do.

Either way, your managing director has shown once again that he’s uninterested in validating his own statements and the statements of his contractors, and by doing so he keeps undermining his own credibility as well as the reputation of his own company. You are all free to express your opinions but if your intention is to simply keep posting false and/or misleading statements please keep doing that in your own forum and blog.

As a former member of the board of trustees you are anyway very welcome to actively and positively contribute to LibreOffice so that your eventual application for membership can be taken in consideration by the Membership Committee.
