Hello,
as it’s that time of the year again, I would like to share one of the duties TDF has as employer - informing itself about changes to social security and workplace regulations that will come into effect in 2026.
One of our health insurances thankfully provides a convenient write-up (the Google translate link unfortunately blocks at the cookie banner) which helps in learning the new regulations.
Not everything is relevant for TDF currently, but certain topics TDF should be aware of, like changes to the artist social security.
Now why do we need to do this if we have a payroll provider? Because in the end, the responsibility is ultimately with TDF and as such with the Board of Directors. Mistakes can happen to anyone, and as we’ve seen with one past VAT audit, TDF has to deal also with mistakes others make, and at least bankroll any additional payment that need to be made.
