  • Release Engineering update (Cloph)

    • 26.2.5 rc2 tag this week (moved one week back from initial plan)

      • HW acceleration issues → raster will be used on win & mac
      • builds delayed a bit, on mirrors later today
      • Announced for next day

    • 26.8.0 RC2 tag in 1 week

    • Regina: No Windows daily build since 2026-07-14. Problem is?

      • builds failing (host crashing/hw issues) along with long build
        queues recently so no empty slot to retry
      • Likely a windows licensing issue prevents fixing/moving to
        different HW
        • along with hetzner massively increasing setup-fees and
          monthly fees makes experimenting a lot harder
      • Create a auto-retry rule for the bot.
      • ~60 min of windows build time today, similar for other
        platforms/our hard limit, moving to different hardware/other systems
        will increase windows time a bit
      • Builds w/o test is 30 min, but risky for release (Xisco)
