Hi Dave,
Would you please you make the original odg (svg if you must) file of
your proposal available.
It is already on wiki (""Here is the odg"):
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/User:K-j/Drafts/Design/Front-Guide#Version_1
And here is the direct link:

Hi K-J,
Don't know how I missed it previously.
Many Thanks,
Dave
Hi all:
I want to say again that haven't sense to make a great 6 in the logo that cover almost all the cubes

Jorge Rodríguez
Hello Dave,
I found your proposal on the ODFAuthors site and like it very much. I want to make some minor adjustments, but when trying to save it on my hard disk, I get following error: Error while saving the document LO6_GS_Guide_Covers_DCB_20170921: No access to object. I rename it according the ODFAuthors conventions.
Is there anything I can do to solve it, or do you have to give access and upload a new version?
Many thanks
Best regards

Hi Leo,
If you are logged into ODF Authors, there's no obvious reason why you
should not be able to download and open the file, because it is just a
normal Draw "odg" file.
I have sent a copy to you in a separate email.
Best Regards
Dave
Hej Dave,
Could you please provide also the original files for the icons of the various modules, as the ones for Base and Math are not 100% consistent with the others.
Many thanks
Best regards
Leo
Hi Leo,
The original icons are in the file I sent you.
All the icons used for the different modules were cloned from the SVG
file here:

Hello,
I made some minor changes to Dave's proposal, which you will on the ODFAuthors site: https://www.odfauthors.org/libreoffice/english/getting-started/draft-lo-6.0/proposed-covers-for-gs6.0/cover-from-dave-with-small-changes/view

Hi Dave,
Hi all,
Hi K-J, Good to see another proposal.
starting with Dave's odg I made my own proposal [1] based on the cover
for Libo 5 docu.I don't know how the strange squared application icons got into the GS5
cover, but I propose we stick to the official icons from the LO6 dev
start center:
http://www.tasit.net/files/LO6_App_Icons.png
The "strange" squared application icons are taken from the Breeze icon set (new in LibO 5). They are official icons, too.
It was a decision of the visual identity part of the desgin team last time to use it for the cover. And all around voted for a +1.The same icon set was used in LibO-cenference presentation template in Brno.
Hi Dave,
the document symbol in LO6_GS_Guide_Covers_DCB_20170921.odg [1] is wrong [2].
The "LibreOffice Documentation Team" text is jumping between front and back. (Printing in a pdf and scrolling it.)

Wrong? In what way?

I have tried, but cannot replicate your issue under Linux or Windows.

Hi K-J,
At least under Windows the Daily Alpha build [1] the Start Center module
icons are not Breeze. The screen capture [1] is taken from a virgin
installation (ie. no previous install or existing profile) on a Win 7
box that has never had LO (any version) installed.
So it was chosen as something to be used at Brno, that does not make it
official in any way. After Oracle gave away the OOo identity, we worked
hard to establish a LO identity (logos, icons, colors, etc.) and making
changes, just for the sake of change, does nothing to help retain the
identity we now have.
</Opinion> The Breeze icon set is very ugly and although this is the
(modern?) yuppy Windows 2 block look, I would not wish to see this
inflicted upon our users without offering them a clear choice at the
time of installation. <Opinion/>
In any case the Documentation Team is free to use whichever form of the
official icon sets they wish.

Accepted that I am both blind and stupid, but I still don't see the
issue. Anyone else?

Jeez! Now we are nit-picking over point something of a centimeter. It's
a darned shame that there is so many with an intense interest in the the
cover decoration and only only a tiny handful of folks actually doing
anything to actively contribute to the content of the guides.
In any case, I much prefer Leo's proposal. Since my unwelcome,
inaccurate proposals are such a screw-up I have deleted them and will
not be making any further attempts to contribute in the future.
Bye
Dave
Hi Dave, Hi all.
Allow me to suggest that the mismatch in rendering may be consequence of
a screen/pixel calibration or some distortion introduced by video
drivers between different computers.
At this moment I'd like to pick the ideas already on the table and get a
final production of the covers by knowledgeable community members.
Kind regards
Olivier

I'm sorry that I annoyed you. That wasn't my intention. And maybe it is my bad english to not express exactly what I want to say.
Hi Dave and all:
I watched the .pdf document, and if you permit and don't bother with me, ... I want to say that the gray color in the header of the document isn't alive. I suggest to find another one. As is, it look like an obituary ( Please don't be angry with me for this expression )
