Contacts to DeepL for ODT support

Hello,

while translating some text, I stumbled over DeepL’s functionality to translate documents. Unfortunately, they only seem to offer “.pdf, .docx, .pptx”.

While LibreOffice can of course export to these formats, it would be great to have DeepL actually also support ODF.

Do we have any contacts there to whom we could reach out? I vaguely remember a contact in the past, but not sure that was ever discussed.

Florian

Their open positions page suggests that they have facilities in Berlin and in Koln.

I contacted them in 2020 about this, saying we could help, and they said they would forward our mail to the developer team. Since then, nothing…

Did we try to contact them again, sending a reminder?

158359 – (DeepL) [META] Automatic / machine translation feature, DeepL integration

Hello,

158359 – (DeepL) [META] Automatic / machine translation feature, DeepL
integration https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=158359

that seems to relate to the function in LibreOffice itself. DeepL on
their website prominently features translation of documents you can just
upload, that’s what I was thinking of where to get ODF featured.

I have just sent them a reminder (well, a new email, pointing to recent migrations to LibreOffice/ODF and the importance of open standards).
